Conceal Carry in Adverse Conditions — 3.5 Hours — Under Review
Prerequisite: This course requires the completion of Handgun Skills Level II and III or the equivalent. This is not a beginners class.
This class will address the challenges of concealed carry in cold weather. The clothing you wear to stay warm will substantially raise the difficulty in a self-defense situation.
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements may be removed from training.
Course Outline
• Handgun selection considerations
• Support equipment
• Clothing Considerations
• Shooting basics - the importance of proper muzzle control considering various concealment choices.
• Presentation of the handgun from a concealment holster to the target and safe recovery back to the holster
• Movement techniques and drills
• Use of cover and concealment
• Compressed Environments, Backdrops and Stress
• If the Only Tool You Have Is?
• Legal, Moral and Ethical Considerations
Classes starting at 8:30am will run until 12:30pm.
Classes starting at 1:00pm will run until 5:00pm.
Classes starting at 6:00pm will run until 10:00pm.
Equipment List
• Quality functional semi-automatic pistol
• 3 magazines
• Magazine pouch
• Concealment holster
• Please wear long pants with pockets and belt loops, a sturdy 1.5" belt, closed toe shoes, and a crew neck shirt.
• Optional loading devices
• Estimated round count: 100 rounds pistol
