CQB1 - MOVEMENTS SPACES STRATEGIES - LEVEL I - 3.5 Hours - $125.00
Prerequisite This course is not a beginners class. You must have taken Handgun Skills Level II and III or it's equivilent.
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for this class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.
In addition to the skills, and tasks listed, there are many important perspectives and training stgrategies presented in class, not described in the online class description.
Course Outline
• Review and perspective of core skills - grip, sight alignment, sight picture, stance, trigger control, and follow through as applies to CQB.
• Fundamental Principals of evaluating spaces, hallways, doors, rooms.
• Fundamentsls of movement through hallways, doorways, and rooms.
• Use of Cover and Concealment.
• Strategies in Confined spaces and limited visibility.
• Support equipment
• Shooting and movement techniques
• Dominant and support side engagement
• Dominant and non-dominant eye sighting
Classes starting at 8:00am will run until 12:00pm.
Classes starting at 1:00pm will run until 5:00pm.
Equipment List
• Quality functional semi-automatic pistol – Full size and compact pistols only.
o No micro pistols or pocket pistols
• 3 magazines
• Magazine pouch
• Dominant side, hip-mounted OWB holster, or dominant side, belt-mounted OWB holster
• Please wear long pants with pockets and belt loops, a sturdy belt, minimum 1 1.5" wide, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline)
• Optional, loading devices • Estimated round count: 150 rounds pistol
